Great jam practice

This app is a must have fora guitar player! Even if you know your stuff, tis a good study tool!

Simple app but very effective. For years I have always wanted, but had always avoided, to learn how to play lead due to fear and dreading having to learn scales and the fretboard. It just seemed too daunting. But this app allowed me to learn just one pattern and practice against backtracks, which was fun. That lead to learning 3 more patterns, and now after just 3 weeks, I am proud to say I can noodle up and down the neck...something I never thought Id be able to say. All thanks to this app! Looking forward to learning the 5th pattern, and then eventually the other scale. Hopefully more scales will be added one day. Did I just say that? ;)

A simple visual tool, just what i needed, had chords under my belt and now i get the scales easily understood, and great for practice. The different styles, awesome!

This app is exactly what I was looking for, very user friendly interface with the complete major and minor pentatonic scales and matching jam tracks.. I can see how some people ( who rated this low or lame ) arent ready for this yet an can seem boring. This is perfect for advancing your lead guitar skills and scales.

Worth the $5 or so if you want to get away from rhythm and see what lead is all about. If you already know your scales, you *might* give this a pass, but the background jam tracks in jazz, blues, reggae and rock styles (and in varied keys) are valuable accompaniment when youre in a creative mood.

This is a great app for learning. My only suggestions would be to identify the scale forms and also being able to toggle on or off the blues notes would be nice.

I bought this hoping to have a quick access app for backing tracks with scales. It has all that. However, the backing tracks quickly get old. This app needs way more options. There are essentially 5 backing tracks that come with the $5. Im not too impressed...

Need more tempo options.

Practicing different styles of music in different keys is made easy with this. If you want to learn the basic chord progressions or polish up your lead skills this will help.

This app is FUN!! .... and they keep adding new packages to keep it fun ! I originally bought another great app from this developer, Drumbeats+, and liked it so much that I bought this and it is a great app. Very simple interface and yet great depth and great sound! They also post updates regularly and add features at no additional cost. They also add in-app purchase updates regularly so you dont get board (good value for a few bucks!)
