Pretty gooooooood!!
Pretty gooooooood!!
Please support portrait screen mode, at least on iPad and iPad mini. I love to play this app using an Apple dock -> line out -> speakers, so I really want the portrait screen mode!
Simply there are 10 recorded backing tracks, 5 for major, 5 for minor which gets transposed for each key. It has only two chord progressions, major and minor(aelioan-ionian) which is limiting if you are playing guitar long enough. No mixoldian, locrian modes and more sophisticated chord progressions etc.. It has 5 styles, 2 blues, 1 rock, reggea and jazz.. The app has shows you only the minor and major pentatonic scales of 7 diatonic keys. It emphasizes root note and passing note of the minor pentatonic scale. It doesnt show you which chord is currently playing and corresponding root, third and fifth notes with changing chords which are critical for improvising. It would be a nice addition with the next update. User interface and the overall recording quality of the backing tracks is good. If you want to learn about minor and pentatonic scale and want to practice playing over a backing track this app might come handy. Otherwise you might find it too beginners level for your taste.
It could use more tracks. You have only 2 tracks per style and of course the most interesting ones are 3$ each. Great idea ruined by high pricing
Nice app for beginners
So simple yet extremely useful
Great app, perfect for pratics for every level.
This is a great app and very useful. It would be even better if you provided an example solo for each style and mode - as a form of inspiration.
Great app to play along with tracks and work on licks and leads.
If your stuck in the "Key of E" Rut. This app lets you noodle around until you find the notes that go with the other keys.(for those of us who were too lazy to learn theory) "Hendrix didnt read music" thats true but after 20+ years of playing in the dark, I see now that Ive missed out on so much because I didnt take the time. If your just starting out take it from me, its worth the time to learn. Great app!
Fairly straightforward way to jump right in and jam in different keys and styles. Less time futzing = more time jamming.
Highly recommended
So useful and versatile to increase skill with soloing and scales.
Perfect solo jam buddy!
Initially thought this would be a super app. For me I was disappointed. Three stellar additions would be to allow users to 1) change the tempo 2) be able to add the desired chords of the key being played and 3) in the order the user wanted. Otherwise, for me this is a mediocre app that has super potential if the creators wanted to take it up the ladder.
This app is great for practicing improvisation over a bunch of genres, and so much fun.
nice tool to practice in all the keys. well worth the money. highly recommend.

When playing through positive grid, get a lot of background noise from the it playing through my effects. Sounds good while playing, but if you stop lots of feed back in song. Over all cool program
My guitar playing has improved 100% since I got this app. I have so much fun with it I dont want to go to work. I just want to jam all day with Jam Tracks
